July 25, 2003 (Double click on the thumbnail picture to enlarge, hit the back button to return.) We start the evening by saying "thanks" to our parents who have sent their daughters to Camp Arrowhead this summer by giving them the best Chuckwagon Dinner possible. The dinner was highlighted by Blayne Stansberry (one of our wonderfully helpful camper Moms) presenting the 'Cousin Tree' plaque to Rob Bartell & Elaine Werlein Terrell. Elaine's family donated a lovely pecan tree to the Bartell family. Tribes compete against each other during serenades. The girls are much more vocal when trading tribe cheers. The girls prepare for their final tribal hill ceremony of the summer. When dusk has set, the torches are lit and the Big Chiefs of each tribe, Kickapoo & Pawnee, carry the torch to light the way for their tribe to the waterfront for the Princess Arrowhead ceremony. Best Camper, went to Anne Sophie and Gold Pin Girl to Begona. The campers voted on these and I could not have selected two better girls who really show the true meaning of an 'Arrowhead Girl'. Favorite counselor for the 2nd term, goes to Emily, posing with sisters, Begona & Fernanda.
