Mother/Daughter Weekend

April 30 - May 2, 2004

After we ate our first meal of BBQ chicken and sausage, we had to celebrate birthdays with the traditional "kiss the deer" at Camp Arrowhead.

After dinner we enjoyed a friendly game of volleyball.  The teams were Moms against Daughters and everyone seemed to have won!

A visit to Camp Arrowhead would not be complete without smores.  The girls entertained us with their campfire stories.

Everyone showed their bravery by going one of our ropes course elements called "The Screamer".

Well I hate to say it, but women are much better shot than men.  These women and girls showed that this weekend by tearing up the riflery range with great scores.

Archery is one of those sports that looks really easy, but is much more difficult in reality.  These mothers and daughters showed that despite the very strange cold weather, that they could handle the task at hand.

Everyone seems to gravitate towards the arts & crafts building.  We macraméd wind chimes to painting boxes and everything in between.

After a long day of activities, we seemed to muster up the energy to play balloon races ... of course it was Moms against Daughters with everyone thinking they won.

We finished Sunday with horseback trail rides on our fat spoiled horses.  You can tell that not only do they liked to be ridden, but they appreciate a good scratch behind the ears.
